washing machine very loud in wash and spin cycle

Maytag performa washing machine is very loud and noisy in the wash and spin cycle. the washer is pretty level and I bought a new belt. Any ideas as to what may be causing this. It has been very noisy for about 2 weeks now.??

Remove the belt and try to spin the pump and transmission pulleys by hand. If any one of them binds or makes a grinding noise, it’ll be pretty obvious. If the transmission pulley works in one direction, turn it in the oter to see if it works as well in that direction. Post your findings.

The center drum pulley made a grinding noise as I spun it in one direction. It also spun in the other direction but was not as noisy. The pump pulley moved free and easy. What is wrong the bearing or trans??

Probably a worn thrust bearing; not allowing full release of the brake. Try to spin the inner tub by hand. If you can’t budge it, the brake is still in good shape. Here’s the part number for the thrust bearing kit: [part]AP4009132[/part]

OK, Thanks - I ordered the kit and will provide feedback when I try to fix it.

You probably have a bad tranny bearing.

no water to ice maker. line is clear. water valve is working. has electronic board on back of motor.

Hi,
I have a problem with my bev center. It started about a month ago that I noticed my bev center wasn’t cooling that well. I dont’ have a thermometer that could read the temps but I did have some Coors Light in the fridge. I notice that the Blue Mtns on the bottles were no longer cool even at the coolest setting. Then this morning I just heard some clicking noise coming from the fridge, I assume a something to do with the turning on/off compressor, but the fridge was warm.
Is this a compressor problem or something else?
Thanks,
