When my washer spins it sounds very loud (like grinding). I have taken it apart and am wondering if the bearings could be bad and if they are difficult to replace
I cannot find your model. Can you check the model number and re-post. Is it a U.S. model?
Thanks
Got it
Noises are terribly difficult for us to diagnose, for the obvious reason that we are not there to hear them.
I think a likely problem with your machine, if the noise is really a loud grinding is the brakes are hanging up in some way or something else in the transmission or suspension assembly.
Here is the service manual, see if some of the discussion will help you narrow the problem.

Good luck, let us know what you do
A typical failure on the Performas is the pump bearing. Tilt the machine back and remove the belt. Try to spin the pump pulley by hand. Any grinding noise or difficulty would indicate replacement of the pump is necessary. Next, try ro spin the tub manually by turning the large pulley in the center. If you can’t do this by hand, you probably should replace the thrust bearing. If you can spin the basket by hand from the top, you will need to replace the brake.
