Water Leakage

Suddenly, my washer has started leaking. Noticed the leakage starts when hit’s the Rinse cycle. Pump was replaced by the factory in 2005 and appears to be working OK since it’s completing the wash cycle and leaving no water in the clothing containment drum. No error code.

Checked the drain hose and doesn’t looks like any blockage. Can easily hear the water draining.

Also, could some one kindly advise how to pry open the top lid cover and front cover to see the source of problem. Any one assistance is highly appreciate.

The washer is app. seven years old.

Gary,

Here’s the service manual information, as you requested :

  3. Remove the four (4) screws located along the top edge of the front cabinet panel.

The washer top is hinged at the back edge. It does not have to be completely removed for access to

  1. Disconnect power from the washing machine.
  2. If the unit is close to the wall at the back, pull the washing machine forward a foot or two.
  3. Gently pry the emblem from the front trim.
    4. Remove the T-20 Torx screw holding the washer top to the cabinet latch.
  4. Slide the washer top forward, approximately 1/2 inch, to clear the cabinet latch.
  5. Raise the front of the washer top up and prop it high enough to allow full access to the contents
    of the tub.

Hopefully all you have is a loose clamp or cracked hose.
