Water Won't Pump Out/burning Smell

I am smelling something burning (electrical/rubber??). The water is at the very top of the tub. Not pumping out at all. I don’t know about spinning, etc. I just unplugged it and came searching for help. Please help:confused:

 Thanks for responding, Gene, but I have resolved my washer problem. I looked around your site and decided I could check a few things myself while I was waiting to hear back from someone.

The problem was a frozen hose coming out of the back of the washer. It was 14 degrees here last night and my washer is in a room that doesn’t have a lot of insulation. I cleaned the hose and hooked it back up and everythings works fine. I am also taking some steps to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.

Get some coil cleaner and follow the manufacturers directions. A dirty condenser cleaned by the homeowner on a regular basis will help on that electric bill too. The inside coil needs cleaning too but you need to get the non rinse stuff for that. If you have some guages the low side should be around 68 PSI.

The original problem is the front load washer would not go through the entire cycle unless the door was pressed in. The lock light would remain on whether the door was pressed or not. I replaced the door assembly which helped the original problem however it won’t go through the tumble cycle. All other actions like water filling, timer, spin, drain appear to work. I probably have one of the wires not connected correctly (red?), but can’t figure where I went wrong. The instructions and photos that came with the kit are poor. Something that seemed strange to me was that the "9-prong" adapter that is inserted into the Speed Control only had one white/pink threaded wire going to the door assembly–is that correct?
