I have a washing machine that spin cycles slowly, if at all, but if the safety is disabled and the drum hand pushed it will generally then spin up - sometimes at a slow speed and sometimes at high speed. This appears to be a clutch issue, so my questions is twofold.:
- Is it likely that the whole clutch assembly needs replacing, or can I get away with the clutch band and lining kit (AP3094538 only?
- If the whole assembly is needed, is this an ‘end-user’ task, or do I need a technician (tough in Bermuda)? Similarly, can I do the [URL="http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/ctrfs.aspx?part_id=3094538&&model_id=264198&diagram_id=112899) replacement myself?
