Whirlpool dishwasher disassembly

My machine is clogged with hard water deposits. I am trying to disassemble the lower arm so I clean the arm, screen and everything else down there, but the hub, which does appear to have threads, just spins, and I can’t figure out how to get this lower spray arm assembly off.
It turns, but does not seem to be coming off. Any hints?
Thanks a lot!

Here is a manual, although it is not for your given model number, I think the pump is the same.

If the water is very hard you may want to give the unit a de-liming every once in a while.
Add about a quart of vinegar and let it sit for an hour or so.
Then let it fill and run for a minute then again let it sit for an hour or so. Do this several times then let it finish the cycle.

They also make a dishwasher cleaner that does the same thing, just more expensive. It is usually oxalic acid.

Thank you–I appreciate it!
