Dryer blew the Thermal fuse a week ago and I replaced it. Right away I found out why it blew. My washer now gets crazy hot. But not all the time. Sometimes it works fine. I have replaces the Thermistor. At one point I had a new thermistor, High level thermostat, and thermal cut off on there and it still over heats. I checked the heater element and it looks fine and doesn’t short out.
The thing is, it works sometimes, but when it doesn’t it’s like it locks up on high. Even on timed air only cycle the heat stays on.
The only thing I can think of is the control board. When it was working I could hear a clicking inside the control panel. When its broken and the heater stays on there is no clicking.
Any ideas guys? I was trying to save our family money but I might end up costing us money. This thing is only 2 years old.
