So this dryer stopped heating but does run. after looking into it, it blew the thermal fuse. replaced it and it blew again. I checked a few things down below and the thermistor ohm’ed out okay and the t-stat has continuity. The element did look a little burnt so I replaced it. When you turn the dryer on to AIR ONLY, the heating element goes full heat and never goes back off. What else could be causing this to happen? Am I looking at a control board possibly needing to be replaced?
I appreciate any help you have to offer.
I cannot find any info on the given model number.
Please check it.

Yes if the unit is the same as a GEW9250PW1

See the attachment for the tech sheet.
Since you do not get any errors unplug the unit and the connection where the heating coil attaches to the control board.
Measure across the connectors with a meter.
If you get 0 ohms you know that the control board is the culprit re: the heater relay contacts are welded together.
The above tells you for sure that the control board is bad it does not tell you that it is good as it may have other problems causing your symptoms.
I took the control board out and have 0 ohms on wires going to it. I do have continuity while touching both prongs of heater relay on circuit board. Looks like the relay is the culprit which means I get to buy a new circuit board. yay! Guess it could have been worse somehow.
