Whirlpool Duet Dryer---HELP! No heat coming from the unit

HELP! No heat coming from the unit! I have replaced the heating element, thermistor, and thermal fuse. Still no heat. I flipped the circut breaker out side the house 3 times, waiting a minute before turning it back on. Still no heat. I am running out of patience and clean dry clothes:eek:

I’m assuming motor runs? Thermal fuse is for motor circuit, motor wouldn’t run if it was bad. Did you check the hi limit thermostat and thermal cutoff on the heater box? Other possibilities are bad heater relay which is part of control board or bad motor switch.

Eric

Can u tell me some more about the relay on the control board? I have replaced all parts except the thermal cut off

The relay is used to turn the heater on/off during the cycle to regulate the temperature. Disconnect the black wire from the thermal cutoff. Turn dryer on and check for 120vac at the thermal cutoff red wire. If you don’t have it, the control board is bad (bad relay).

Eric

Hello! I would say 85 % the problem you have is fuse. But sometimes could be an element. You need a repair man help or you can try to find the issue by your self. Goodluck with that!
