Whirlpool Duet E01 F08 and long rinse cycle

I have a Whirlpool Duet WFW96HEAW0 that stops late in rinse cycle and gives me error E01 F08. I have hired a A&E service tech that has checked screens, water pressure, cleaned pump, replaced washer water level switch and replaced dispenser Valve W10247306. His next step is to change the main controller and this will be the third time he has come out.
Symptoms I have noted:

  1. E01 F08 stops late in normal wash, towels, etc. Does not stop every wash.
  2. Quick wash works fine and will never stop or show Error E01 F08
  3. Affresh clean cycle will stop really early in wash cycle
  4. Washer will sit on “1” minute forever and then add time back. Seems like sometimes sits at 23 minutes for a long time.
    Any help would be appreciated.
