Have a Whirlpool Duet dryer that will dry, but not completely. In reviewing the diagnostic manual and testing the thermal fuse, I thought that was my problem and went ahead and replaced it. The dryer does light and heat but does not get real hot. I then ran the diagnostic procedure which is returning a F01 error indicating the Electronics Control board is bad. (Part number W10256719) I don’t have any problem replacing that board since it is fairly easy to get to, however, how reliable is the system diagnostics? Is this F01 often a false positive that is masking the real problem?
