I have a Whirlpool Duet and have been battling a F11 code for a little over a year. I currently can’t even get it to cycle long enough to cancel and have the door unlock, so I can’t provide the exact model number.
The F11 (and occassional DL) has been an on and off again problem. I can bang on the back right corner of the machine and usually get the code to clear and it will work fine for several cycles. We have also tried following a repair video on resoldering the ccu and it worked for a short time before the cycle started over again.
Will replacing the CCU likely fix the problem? The repair technician said that he would start with replacing the MCU, but I think that seems like a waste of time since I can hit the back rear corner (where the CCU is located) and it usually temporarily fixes the problem. I’m hesitant to replace such an expensive part and waste my money, but I am also desperate and can’t wait the time it would take to send it off to be fixed. Please HELP!!!
