Whirlpool Duet New CCU/UI but still problems

Have a Whirlpool Duet with Steam that was not presoaking or able to use the steam function. It would still perform a regular wash, however. Decided to replace the CCU over Christmas break, as well as UI controls (some of the LEDs weren’t lit). Accidentally swapped the thermistor and the door closed sensor plugs, so it wouldn’t work. When I figured that out, I swapped the plugs to their correct positions (the thermistor tested okay when I checked it). I ran quick diagnostics and it worked through all the stages. Put the washer back together and washed a load of clothes. At the end of the wash, it threw an error indicating issues with the UI. I looked at the back of the UI panel and saw that the plug to the CCU was not securely inserted and had work its way slightly out. So I reseated it securely in (clip locked this time). Tried quick diag again, and this time the door would lock, but it wouldn’t get past C00. Also, the door will not unlock. SO, I replaced the locking mechanism thinking I could have hurt it from swapping the plugs before (even though the old and new plugs ohmed correctly). That did not fix the issue. It won’t unlock even trying to reset it. I have to pull the unlocking mechanism manually.I’ve now tried the old CCU and the old UI just to see if I could get it to run a cycle, and have the same problem.

Any ideas? 12V and 5V DC is maintained on the CCU, and the filter indicates a line voltage of ~125VAC. I am completely stumped. I want to think it’s the CCU again, but after putting my old CCU back into the machine and having the same error, I’m beginning to doubt that. Could I have another plug swapped, and if so, which one would it be (doubtful this is the case since I got it to work for one load). Could it be the wiring harness/connector? I did ohm the lock from the CCU end of the harness, so I have my doubts here too.

Been without the washer for 2 weeks now, and would like to get it going if I can.

Thanks.
