Last weekend I went to dry a load and when I pushed the start button nothing happened. There were no error codes, no buttons or display working and the light in the dryer is off.
I ran through the service sheet attached to the dryer: checked power at the outlet, continuity at the plug and to the main control board and checked the thermo fuse which checked out fine.
Ended up getting a new Machine control board. It didn’t do anything except that the led blink and timer ticking sound was more clear. And this starts when the machine is plugged in. power button doesn’t do anything.
Then purchased a new User control board set. This was worse. Now there is no power at all. nothing.
what am I missing? should I try the OLD Machine control board with the NEW User controls and see if it works? Is there anything else that could cause this type of disfunction?
appreciate your help in advance. this is getting frustrating…
