I have a Whirlpool GHW9300PW4 front-loader washer that was in the house when we moved in. The washer worked great for about the first month then one day an error flashed on the display (F 05). After doing some research and testing with a multi-meter, I found and fixed a broken temperature sensor wire, changed the sensor and the heating element. Fired up the machine - same problem. Then after nearly driving myself nuts, I checked the water inlet hoses and valve - apparently the machine was only washing with hot water the entire time (hoses were connected properly) regardless the of the temperature setting. Turned out, the cold water inlet solenoid was plugged up with sediment - so I changed the inlet valve. I just ran the diagnostic program - cold water enters the machine for a moment, then only hot water and fails at C0:04 with code F 05. Tried unplugging the machine, then running a normal cycle on cold/cold setting and the same thing – cold water enters for a few seconds, then only hot water and then the F 05 error code about 5 minutes into the cycle. I don’t know what else to try besides buying a new machine because I am not about to dump money more money into a CCU for the same result (already -$150). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
