My Whirlpool gas dryer won’t start. I have power to the unit. The timer runs, no tumbling, no heat when I press the start button. I can hear the relay click when I press the button after turning the dial to off, then to a setting. Tried all settings. Nothing works. There is continuity across the the thermal fuse.
I saw a post with a similar problem, but on a Whirlpool electric dryer. That individual finally determined that the issue was the timer motor. How would one go about testing that device?
door switch Blue to White closed.
Disconnected door switch and tested outer leads with door closed, then open: OK
start switch Black to Blue closed (with power on and switch pushed in).
Disconnected wires from timer motor and tested Black to Blue: OK
timer on timed regular TM-OR, BK-BU, T-W all closed.
With dryer unplugged, set timer to "timed drying" and tested prongs of timer motor.
TM-OR: OK
BK-BU: OK
T-W: NO continuity
Does this indicate a different problem?
Thanks in advance for all of the assistance
