My ice make auger stopped working a few months ago. I bought a replacement motor and installed it. The auger started working but only every so often. I have disassembled the auger assembly and the motor still does not always run even when completely unloaded. The dispensing door is opening but no ice due to the auger not running. I’m starting to think I got a bad new motor but does anyone have any ideas ? When I push the dispensing paddle, I can hear a ‘click’ every time I push the dispensing paddle that sounds like it is coming from the back right of the refrigerator. Is there a switch somewhere that could be bad ? The unit dispenses water fine so I don’t think the dispensing paddles are the issue.
This is a large Kenmore Elite model with the door mounted ice maker that the auger is on the bottom.
