I have a Whirlpool over the stove microwave (# MH1150XMS-2). For a few months it will occasionally have an F2 error - if it is running, it will stop and display "F2 error" and sometimes it will not work at all. If you beat on the control panel it will come back online and begin to work again. From what I’ve read, this is a control panel error and I need to replace this part to restore function. I wanted to get your opinion before I purchase this rather expensive part (but it’s cheaper than a new microwave). Also, is this something that i can repair myself? I’m a relatively handy woman, but a bit scared of electricity - but as long as i turn it off and unplug -should be ok- yes? Do you agree that this is the cause of the F2 error also?
