Whirlpool Roper washer won't agitate, drain, or spin?

My washer will fill with water and stop. It makes no sounds or anything else. I can move the dial to another section and it will fill more water for the rinse cycle but won’t drain, agitate, or spin. This happened before and I found the lid switch in pieces. I replaced it and it worked for about a month and its doing the same thing again. How can I fix this? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you replace the lid switch with a genuine Whirlpool FSP switch? There’s a lot of junk parts out there especially on e bay and amazon. This is the older style switch and has been problematic especially if the lid is allowed to slam shut. If your switch is coming apart again, they can be fixed by using a small tie-wrap around them to hold them together.
