Washer will fill and drain, timer advances, can hear motor, but won’t spin or agitate. Was making a rattley/squealy sound the other night before the agitator/spin stopped working. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide!
Sounds like the motor coupling is bad. This link will show you how to access the coupling http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/Whirlpool-washer-disassembly.html
Thanks. I replaced this earlier today. Made it through half of a load and burned up another copuling. Does this indicate a problem with the motor or tranny?
This may indicate that the brakes are dragging. There is a good sticky post on this.
