My Whirlpool washer does not advance to the spin cycle, so what I do to resolve this issue is first I open and close the lid and sometimes that works, if that doesn’t work I will spin the dial until i return back to where it was originally. So far this has been working. Can this be repaired, if so, what part do I need and how would I repair it? Or is it time to get a new washer.
