My Whirlpool washer won’t drain or spin. It goes through the washing cycle only.
The first thing you will want to do is check the lid switch. Unplug the machine. Take the two screws out of the console and flip it back. You will see a plastic electrical coupling coming from the cabinet. Unhook this and use an insulated wire to jump the part of the coupling coming frm the console (insert the ends of the wire into the two outer holes on the plastic coupling coming from the console)
Flip the console back over and let it sit on the cabinet. Plug in the washer and put it on spin cycle. Turn it on and if it spins, the lid switch needs to be replaced. Do not operate the machine with the switch jumped, wait until you have replaced the lid switch.
Let us know if this works, and if not we will go to something else.
