Wiring up new dryer motor

I need some help wiring up my new drive motor. Model #10410892
It has a different switch on it for the wiring connections.
I have a Magtag dryer model LDE8404ACE
The wires to connect are as follows:
Two black wires that connect together
Two yellow wires that connect together
One blue wire
One red wire
One grey wire with a blue jumper
I need to find out which terminals to connect them to on the new unit.
Thank you.

I cannot find any info on the given part number.

You could look up your model at AppliancePartsPros, then click on the motor.
A new page will open with info about the replacement motor includes a Q&A section.

I have no way of knowing if this part is the same as the part you have.

Click on the above picture and a new page will open with more info.
Looks like the motor should have come with a hook up sheet.

Here is a manual. You will have to join the site to be able to download the manual.

Hi.

The motor part W10410999.
You will want to wire the unit in accordance with the electric wiring rather than the gas. The Yellow will go where it was originally connected to #6, Red wire to 5, gray wire to 1/4" thermal protector tab, Black wire to #2, and blue and white to #1. You may need to put the jumper between 1 and 5. [LEFT][COLOR=#000000]

Simon.

When you say to hook gray wire to 1/4" thermal protector tab,
Is that the same as the #2 position on the switch terminals.
Terminal #2 is the far left position on the switch block.
Thank you, Simon

I got my dryer back in operation tonight. Your wiring directions were right.
I looked at the manual you suggested and it helped me understand how the
switch operates and the location of the thermal protector tab.
Thanks for your help.

That is my pleasure.

Simon.
