I’m a consumer, but not afraid to disassemble and replace parts. GE Profile side by side. Bottom sections of both sides COLD, upper of both warm. Circuit board shows visable damage (black & burned in a section) Compressor running, cooling fan next to it runs as well. Seemingly I would need to replace the board, Evap fan, and thermistor so $225+ minimum. Does this absolutely fix whatever is seemingly wrong?
Remove the motherboard AP4436216 and check the solder connections at the big power relay, re-solder if bad. If you have resistors burned on the board, it needs to be replaced. If either the evaporator or condensing fan motors are not running, replace them as well.
Since I’m not a Tech its logical to just replace both the motherboard and the Evap fan assembly? $225 is still a LOT less expensive that a new or used refridgerator (used perhaps since its my garage unit)
The replacement of the evaporator fan is relatively easy, just make sure you get the right part. Some come with the thermistor in the harness and some without.
