Just got our fridge back from friends after it has been out on loan for something like 5 years. Moved into a new house (fridge has been moved via removalists, moved upright) and was using it for a week no problems…
Then we noticed the fridge compartment was not very cold at all. We also noticed that the stuff in the freezer was melting.
Woke up in the morning and everything was cold/frozen again.
The day after the same de-cooling/de-frosting thing happened… now its back to cooling/freezeing…
It seems like there is some kind of cycle happening.
Got a refrigeration guy in and he just said we should replace the "controller board" without inspecting anything. I was not there, the wife told me this is what he said.
Does this seem right?
If i replace the "controller board" (i guess PCB?) will it fix it?
Could it be something else?
