This unit is about year and a half old.
Every cycle seems to work except for when it goes into spin. I can hear it starting to turn but then it just makes a sound like it’s spinning out. It tries a couple times and then gives up.
I hope my description of "sounds like it’s spinning out" makes sense.
It had the error code of F0E5. I looked at the suspension rods and everything seemed fine. That error code could have nothing to do with it though.
For the hell of it, I ran recalibration. During recalibration, it DID successfully go into a high speed spin. No excessive shaking. No noises.
But, when I ran a load, the problem persisted.
Any ideas? I just don’t know which part to buy and replace.
Thanks in advance.
The belt was fine by the way. Seems tight.
Should I be able to spin the washplate by hand? I am able to spin it. Don’t know if that’s relevant.
I am having the same issue with a Maytag washer (model MVWX655DW1). I keep having to replace the basket drive hub. It is a plastic hub with internal plastic splines which spline to the transmission shaft. I’m on the fourth hub now in 2 years and the last one lasted a month. I am at a loss for why they keep stripping. We have not overloaded the washer since the last one failed. Looking for help to cure the repeating issue. Not going to change out the transmission. My first instinct is to stay away from the Whirlpool/Maytag brand and replace the washer.
The manufacturer part number for the basket drive hub is W10528947
