Anybody know of a way to repair this part?

The plastic housing on the inside of my dryer has become brittle & the pieces that have broken off snag the cloths. AppliancePro has the whole front for $80, but I would like to just replace the plastic or repair it. Any suggestions? Does the front panel come off easily?

Part Details - GEH FRONT PANEL WH, part number: AP4510255

I just ordered the front panel for ApplianceParts. Does anyone here know how it is attached to the dryer frame? If it is clips, is there a special tool needed?
Steve

I finally got the right part to replace but I still need to know if I need a special tool to take the front panel off? Is it held on by clips?
Steve

Steve,

Which part did you order? The part number you posted earlier does not look like the right one.

Gene.

Thanks Gene for the interest. You are right, they did send me the wrong part. This is the correct part:

I will still have to remove the front panel. Do I need a special tool, or there clips?
Steve

No Steve, you do not need any special tools.

Lift the top panel and remove the screw on each side holding the front panel.

Thank you very much Gene. I can’t believe how easy that was to change that part once I knew how to open up the dryer!
