bake element does not work

this is a GE 24" range that does not Bake

The Broil element works fine both in Hi and Low settings.

I replace the Bake element, the Thermal Cut-off Switch, and the Bake Relay on the circuit board,

The Thermostat resistance check around 11000 ohms, and all the keys on the keypad pass their test.

What other components could cause the malfunction of the Bake element?

Thank you.

First off getting tech info on GE’s off the web is nearly impossible, they like to keep it a secret. Guess it keeps their techs busy.

Can only think of a couple things.

  1. A wire has burned off of is open but by the sound of it you probably have already checked this.
  2. Replacing the bake relay does not ensure that the relay coil is getting a voltage from the electronics to close the contacts. So the board itself may be toast.
  3. I did notice that the control board has 3 relays so I would think one is for bake, one for broil and the third is a DLB which also is in circuit for the oven cycles.

this is wiard, my circuit board does not have the DLB relay, the space for it is empty.
I attempted to attach a picture of it, not sure if you can see it.

my other question is, if the thermostal resistance is acceptable, what controls this device? Is it a component on the Control Board and if so can this be replace. Is there any other component that could be check or should I just replace the whole Control Board.

thank you

Looks like they do not use a DLB relay on your board.

The IC and transistors on the board do the controlling and they cannot be replaced so you have to replace the board.

It sounds like you have already checked the other components.
