Broken Tub Shell - worth repairing???

I have a front load washer that made a loud noise and started leaking water during the spin cycle. I have found that it has a broken tub shell and the drum seems to be sitting lower than usual inside of the tub shell. The drum also seems to have become disconnected from the large round rubber seal at the door. I believe the machine was overloaded and loaded unevenly, causing the drum to hit the tub shell hard enough to break it. I do not see any other obvious visible damage… the springs and shocks seem to be in good working order and the drum still seems to rotate freely. I believe the tub shell runs somewhere between $150 and $200…

Does this sound like a straightforward shell replacement? Are there most likely more broken parts? Is the shell replacement as difficult as it looks?

I guess bottom line is: Is it worth having a tech attempt to repair the machine or will I be approaching the cost of a new machine anyway?

Thanks in advance for your time and advice! It is greatly appreciated!!

No, sorry, you will need to get a new machine as it is not worth the cost to fix this one.

Bummer! Kind of what I figured though… Thank you very much for your response!
