Dispenser door won't close

The dispenser door does not close and the detergent just runs down the front when I close it. I would have to buy a whole new dispenser and The part is 124. I hate to pay that much if there is a way to repair the door or latch. Is there anything I can do help it latch without spending so much? Other than that, the dishwasher works well. Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anything I can do help it latch without spending so much?
You could remove it from the unit to see if anything is perhaps jammed or dirty.

If you cannot find anything then you will have to replace the dispenser as dispenser parts are not available.
