Double Oven only beeps

Hello. The display of my double oven became dim, and sometimes came on bright, and sometimes disappeared, but it still worked properly. A couple of weeks ago it the display went out all the way, and the buttons only beep three times. I reset the power to the oven. The display stayed dark. I pressed the convection and bake buttons, and it starts heating the heating elements, but within about 60 seconds it beeps three times and shuts off. Now it is only beeping when pushing buttons again. Is this a control board issue, or could there be other problems, too? Are there any other tests I should try before purchasing a control board? Any help you can provide would be appreciated as the parts for this are very expensive (in my opinion), and I don’t want to spend hundreds for a new control board just to burn it out again in a week due to another problem.
