Dryer not heating enough - cycling thermostat?

I’m having an issue with my dryer not getting hot enough to dry our clothes anymore. It takes several cycle to dry a normal load. Here’s what I’ve checked so far.

-Thermal cut off - good continuity
-hi limit t-stat - good continuity
-heating element - about 8 ohms resistance
-thermal fuse - good continuity
-vent - clear

Now my question about checking the cycling t-stat. There are 4 wires going to it - 2 small purple wires connected to the 2 middle terminals and 2 large red wires connected to the outer terminals. There is good continuity between the large outer terminals, but none between the small inner terminals. Is this the way it should be or should there be continuity between the smaller terminals as well?

Anything else I should be checking?

Hi.

Based on the information you provided the problem is the restricted air flow.
First take the vent hose off the dryer and run a regular load, check the timing.
If the problem will still exist - remove the lint chute and clean it.
