Our dryer has recently started to squeak, and seems to be getting worse. It’s rotational and appears to be coming from the back (I believe). What are my options other than to buy a new dryer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Great! Thanks for the info, I’ll be working on it as soon as I get the parts!

Super, glad you got it fixed (it was not quite as easy as I made it sound) and thanks for the update.
No, it was a bit more involved than I anticipated. Not a lot of space to work on this thing didn’t help either. The bearing came with instructions that looked like it was copied a few hundred times making the typing very blurred and pictures incomprehensible. Hard to say how long it took me, maybe close to 2 hours. Thank God I had a set of Torx drivers. I had to use a set of small nuts and bolts with lock washers instead of the "wood" screws they provided to attach the race to the back of the heating element frame. The wood screws would not thread in, I think the holes were a hair too small. Gave the wet/dry vac a workout cleaning inside as you said…definitely needed it. I figure you saved us about $350. Parts & shipping came to $50 and a new decent dryer would probably be about $400. As I’m typing this, it’s nice and quiet here in the cellar, as apposed to when I was pleading for help!
Thanks again!

Well, the second time it does get easier, so if any of your friends need help, well, you can give them a 10% discount on your labor.
