My GE dryer model # DBXR453EA0WW squeals when a load is being ran. I only used to do this when running a heavy load such as jeans or towels. Now it just squeals all the time regaurdless of the load size. I suspect the rear bearing but am not sure if it might be a belt squealing or what. The sound is driving me insane. Also if it is a rear bearing how difficult of a process is this and any diagrams would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
It is very likely the bearing, as they fail regularly on these models. Here is the part.
Since you have to take the dryer apart anyway, I would also replace the belt and ideler pulley, and the pads that serve as front bearings. Check the heating element at the same time as they tend to break on these models also.
This is a fairly easy job. The top should come off when you unscrew the screws that hold it to the cabinet. They are in the top of the door frame. You then take off the front, being careful to mark how the door switch wires go and then release the belt. The drum will come out and you should be all set to make your repairs. Remember to re connect the door switch when you put it back together.

Thanks for the input! Looks like while I’m in there I will go ahead and replace the glides as these are almost likely to be worn out from what I have read about the good ole GE! Belt and Idler pulley will also be replaced. I thnk the heating element is good but while I have the dang thing apart I may replace it also!

P.S. I have noticed that there are white and green glides for this machine but it doesn’t say which ones it takes. Is it two white and two green or all white and all green. OH felt will also have to be replaced as it is missing too. Is it worth it to spend the time and money to fix this or just find another used machine?
Sounds like a plan, I think the white go on top and the green on the sides but not sure it matters. If the heating element is ok I would not replace it, but if you do, just buy the element, it is a lot less expensive than the assembly
These are good machines and if you do these repairs you will have a machine that should not need any work and do a good job for you. A used machine may require repairs. I would definitely make the fixes and keep the machine.
