1 year ago the dryer wasn’t heating, the repair guy replaced the gas valve coilbut I don’t know which one the main or the secondary. The dryer has been working fine. On Sturday I had to move the dryer so I unplugged it ,disconnected the vent and disconnected the gas supply. Upon completion of my project I moved the dryer back into place, connected the gas, connected the vent and plugged it back in. To my surprise the dryer will not heat. I openned the front and turned it on. I did not notice the ignitor glowing at any time, so I imagine the gas valve won’t open. What is my problem? The ignitor, the coils or the tube sensor. I did nothing but move the dryer about 5 feet and then moved it back. What happened?
The igniter coil is very gentle and easy to damage. The first thing I would do in such case is check the igniter. Unplug the igniter wire harness plug and check it for continuity.
