Stove has been doing this occasionally for a while, now we had a power failure last week and it is doing it all the time. Stove top still works, but oven shuts off every time the keypad beeps-which is happening every 5 min. I’ve done some research and see that this code is for a keypad short. But the details are confusing.
Does the keypad itself need to be replaced, or the control unit behind it? Or both? Prices were about $75 for the pad and $130 for the control unit. Since the stove is about 10 years old, I think I’d rather drop $600 for new than $200 for old-unless these are relatively trouble free units and this is the only thing likely to go wrong with it.
