The washing machine has had a rough time as of late. During the spin cycle a shock broke and sent the machine walking into the middle of the laundry room. After, I figured out that the shock was broke and that the belt had come off the pulley. I re-installed the belt and ran it through the diagnostics. During all of the steps except for 6 the washer flashed and beeped E43. Which using the manual as a guide says to replace the control board.
I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on repair with out replacing the board, or if the board must be replaced is this the correct part number? AP3886932 http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/frigidaire-control-item-number-ap3886932.aspx
Thanks
When you have electronic boards you end up replacing them to see which one fixes things. It might the main board, this part here
AP4362398
If that is not the correct fix you can return it, see the returns policy.
Here we go I replaced the shock and the main control board p# AP4362398. Started the washer up and still have the same error code E43. Where should I start looking next.
Fixed it. If you are getting an error code that is in the 40’s check the door switch. It would have been nice for the manual to explain that. Using the wiring schematic I noticed that when you run the washer through the self test that nothing worked till the door switch disengaged. Checked the plug and found that the drum had smashed the plug. Straighten out the prongs and made a new plug plugged the unit back in and I now have a working washer. Just thought that I would let everyone know.
Great, glad you found that and thanks for updating us, it is very helpful.
