Need Help?
I know I need a bake element. I was looking in the back of the oven and disconnected the red and yellow wires to the bake element(bottom) and left them disconnected and plugged in the oven and the red wire was touching the white(neutral ?) of the power cord and I saw a spark. The red wire of the bake element is burned but it still has continuity to the circuit board. I checked with an ohm meter. Now my broil element is out and it was working fine before my mistake. I tried taking off the circuit board to check for a blown fuse but it was too difficult.
I know I need a bake element, but I don’t know if I need a broil element as well or a new circuit board and bake element. Do I need all 3? 2 elements and a circuit board?
How do I replace the bottom element? From the back or inside the oven.
Whoever is willing to help, thank you and I may be contacted on my cell at 317 224-9000 or harryjo00@hotmail.com.
When you said the bottom, did you mean turn the oven on it’s side and work from the bottom of the oven or inside the oven? I can’t see how I would take it out from the botom. Is there a video out there on the web anywhere on this?
on my gas range, when oven is on, it will shut off and "door locked"
message will appear. after pushing various buttons, the stove will occassionally reset and start again, only to go off shortly. This does not happen every time i use the oven, but is happening more frequently. what could be causing this?
