F20 Error - Duet HT Washer

Been getting the F20 during the rinse cycle for about 2 weeks now. I can finish a load by selecting rinse/drain, so there’s that…

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Replaced safety hoses with old rubber ones. Hated to do this since a friend had a flooded house once from a burst hose.
Cleaned inlet screens.
Checked pressure coming out of inlet hoses. Water was blasting out of both.
Shortened length that discharge hose inserts into discharge pipe.
Cleaned discharge hose.
Checked for obstructions in boot.
Checked for pump obstructions. Removed front panel and cap on pump assembly. Removed some lint. Reached in as far as I could, everything felt ok.
Checked flow meter.
Replaced hose from pressure switch.
Replaced pressure switch.
Went ahead and replaced flow meter.

After replacing the flow meter last night I successfully ran a cold water load. Then we tried a warm water load and the F20 came back during the rinse cycle, which of course is all cold water.

My last resort is a new intake valve. That should be arriving in the mail today.

Any other suggestions? If it’s the control board I’m not going to replace that. We’ll keep cancelling out of the F20 and running the rinse/spin until we get tired of that and get a new washer. Not a whirlpool…

I installed the water inlet valve last night. Ran 2 loads successfully! I think it was the issue.

One thing I noticed since I installed the new valve is that the loads aren’t taking as long. With the old valve, the washer kept adding time to the rinse cycle. I would check it and it would note 20 minutes left. Then come back a few minutes later and it would note 25 minutes or something like that. Logic is telling me that the cold water was coming in way too slowly for the rinse and causing the time adjustment and then the error. Maybe both sides of the valve were faulty…

Thanks for the second post and the update, that is very helpful to people who read this Forum and to us who reply.

I think your conclusion is correct. Good luck going forward.
