I have a Kennmore (1069730580) refrigerator that the freezer is not freezing the food anymore. There is no frost/ice buildup in the freezer and I have already cleaned the coils to no avail. It appears that the fan is running but it doesn’t feel like blowing that hard? The refrigerator seems to be working fine?
If you have any cooling and the compressor is running, you have a bad refrigerant leak, or a bad compressor. Check the compressor, it should be warm and vibrating. Also verify the condensing fan is running.
Thanks Rich, I was looking a little more at it today and the compressor was running but there is no airflow in either the frig or freezer. So I would guess that the Evap. fan is not working? Were is it located under the unit or inside the frig?
Remove the freezer back panel and check the evaporator fan motor. If no meter, you can pull it and stick 115 volts to it to see if it will run.
Thanks again Rich, which back panel? On the outside of the frig. or inside the frig? Can’t find any IPC’s for this model? I have the wiring diagram. I have a meter but before I take the unit outside and tear it down, which I might not need to do I figure I would ask. Plan on doing this hopefully tomorrow.

Rich, I think I answered my own question. The fan is benind the back panel of the freezer, right?
Right, just remove the food and panel, motor should have windings and 115 volts printed on it.

Rich, 115 going to Evap. fan, bearings bad fan just humming. Spinning it jumps started it but it moans and sputters. Took it out and lubed it up temp. fix. Part on order should get me through till it gets here! Thanks Rich!
Good job, normally very little oil is needed in these as they come already lubricated with special non-detergent, light oil.
Normally, but when the bearings blown out it take allot of grease!
Way to go APP!!! Ordered yesterday at 13:00 and received the part today at 15:07!! Standard shipping! Thanks again! Rich thanks for your help!
