We are leasing a home that has a Frigidaire Professional Series Gas Stove in it. The stove top works properly, although sometimes a slight delay in igniting.
The oven, on the other hand, is our biggest problem. When I set to preheat, the PRE light stayed on, and never seemed ready to bake. I figured after 15 minutes it should be more than ready, so I put the cake in. It took longer than it should to bake and did not come out right.
I realized that I could see the igniter light was on but couldn’t see if the oven was actually ignited where the tube is (figured I should see a flame). There was a gas smell in the house (person leasing said that there would be a gas smell when igniting stove, so I figured it must be fine, i’m thinking probably not!)
Someone came out and said 99.9% chance it was the igniter. He replaced the igniter AND the temperature sensor. No luck, still smelled like gas and not lighting. He now says 99.9% chance it’s the main control panel. I’m just trying to get thoughts on what any of you might think it could be. I’ve been without my oven since July 4, waiting for parts that are on back order. Little frustrated, considering holidays are not far off!
Thank you for any help you can provide.
