Less than a year after replacing my tub and painting the spider with cold galvanizing paint to prevent the corrosion designed by their engineers, the washer stopped spinning. Last night, I saw that the belt had fallen off; I replaced it, and went to the final spin cycle in each of the three modes. The washer would go back and forth with its normal movement, and the outer tub moves quite a lot, which I guess is expected since it is moving, and letting drop, a lot of water logged clothes. Never any spin, though. The only light on the machine is the "door latch" one, and I have no idea how to do any diagnostics on it. Someone posted a service manual for Electrolux "good and better" models, but maybe mine is "worse". Any thoughts out there?
