I got the model # and the code was 42 not 41. washer will not spin on final. ran codes and got E43 control board problem. I ordered and replaced board. THe old board # was 134345400 and the new # is 137005000. washer still does not spin at the end of the cleaning cycle(final spin) . ran codes again and got E42 door stays locked after cycle. this did not happen though. the door switch is working properly as far as I can tell-- it locks when cycle is started and unlocks at the end, it also locks and unlocks on diagnostics. I ran diagnostic on the rinse/spin cycle and the drum did spin in diagnostic mode. any ideas?
Since you have replaced the main board the logical source of your problem is the speed or motor control board, but since your diagnostics check out on it you will have to replace it to be certain.
Well this is disappointing, but you can see why those of us who work on machines have a strong dislike for microprocessor controls. The idea is that they diagnose the problem for you, but as you can see their diagnosis is often wrong, leading you to replace parts you may not have needed to replace, because replacement ends up the only way to determine if the subject part is bad.
I suspect the problem you are now experiencing is in the lock mechanism, which is failing to complete the circuit to tell the boards that the door is lock and it is ok to go ahead and spin.
and you should test the door lock mechism to the extent possible, and also check all of the wiring between the motor control board, CCU and the door lock mechanism. If you cannot find anything else I would try replacing the door lock assembly.
