ge dishwasher still wont drain

I have cleaned filters, replaced the flapper valve in the drain pump, checked all hoses, cleaned air gap. There is good flow into the disposal, but flow shuts off and the next cycle begins befor it has a chance to complety drain. After the final rinse ,about 1.25" of water remains. If I do a cancle and drain less water remaines.

You may have a restriction in your drain.

Here are your parts

You could try removing the drain hose at the disposer and draining it into a pail.
If it drains OK then you have a plumbing problem.
Be sure to hold the hose in the pail and put a towel over the top to stop it splashing all over.

If it is still no good then odds are the Piston & Nut (Item 564 in Section 2) is shot.
It is under the screen filter in the tub (back bottom) and unscrews.
If it does not seal correctly during the drain some of the water is directed back into the tub instead of all of it going out the drain.

This model does not have item #564.instead it has a flapper valve at the black drain hose connection at the drain pump.I replaced that valve.Hoses are clear as is the drain into disposal. There is good force and volumn as it is draining ,but seems to go into the next cycle before it has time to fully drain.

Dumb me I was looking under the sump cover and filter for the piston and nut #564.When I finally took #543 filter off there it was.A five minute job to replace the piston and nut and the dishwasher is repaired.

Hello,
PLEASE read carefully before saying it’s "an obstruction" or a solenoid!!

My dishwasher works great and drains after EVERY cycle except the final cycle just before drying! It doesn’t even attempt to drain! It goes from RINSE directly to DRY without even trying to drain.

If I press START as if I was going to start another wash, then immediately press RESET, it will drain completely and easily with no problem, so it is NOT a clog or obstruction!!

It is not a "partial drain" , it is FULL!

It is OBVIOUSLY not a clog or a blocked trap as it drains fine once it gets the signal to drain from the controller!

This happens EVERY WASH!! It is not intermittent and we noticed it after a GE repairman came to the house and installed "new software". Not sure if it happened immediately after that or not, but it was some time after.

Just to satisfy the "standard reply" people, the trap and hose has been cleaned!

New controller/timer??
