GE electric range oven and clock/ controller not working

Sorry I don’t know the model number I’m not at the complex. It’s the most basic oven you can get. They don’t even self clean. I hope this isn’t a hindrance in helping me. Any way tenant called her oven and clock are not working but the stove top is. When I get there I see that one of the rang top knobs is melted and the entire thing counter to floor is filthy. I removed the front panel that houses the knobs, range controls and the oven/clock control bored. The clear plastic housing around the bored was also a bit out of shape and covered in grease. I replaced the bored, knob and the brown wire that runs to the oven light that had a very clean brake/cut in it. I noticed there is a whit cloth like insulated wire, that leads to a double female plug. The wire that runs parallel the the white cloth one was cut off. I could not find a place for this plug in to go. Anyone know what this is for? Or should I change the beaker out in the main? Thanks in advance to anyone that can follow this
