A few weeks ago I was cleaning the oven when the wires burned on the back and the circuit breaker flipped the switch. We pulled out the stove and the wires for the oven were burnt and frayed so we found the wire and replaced them as well as the plugs. Still no oven. The burners work and the clock and all but no heat to either the top or bottom element of the oven.
I found this place that has the control thing but it cost as much as a used stove and I don’t now if it is the problem and so I’d be out the money and I really just don’t have it. If I did I would just have a repairman come look at it.
The stove is a GE self cleaning electric range model JBP21BY4
Can anyone give me ideas as to if it could be something other then the control unit part # AP2026125
If there is nothing wrong with the wire harness and the surface elements are fine, there is nothing else but the control board left.
The control board [part]AP2026125[/part]
you posted is the correct part number.

Thank you Gene
That was all I needed to know. I will order the part now then. I may have to come back for help to install but, it looks quit simple.
You are welcome. Keep us posted.
