I am so thankful to have found this site! Hopefully, someone can advise me…
I have a gas, propane, stove is gas. All four top burners and broiler work, but the oven will not heat. I hear a click when I turn on/off the dial to set/turn off the oven.
And I might ad, I went to PC Richards, hoping that they could help me troubleshoot the problem, order the part and be on my merry way, but their advice was to buy a new stove and after I made it clear that was not an option, he stated I needed to make an appointment for a service call, but that is expensive too considering a service call would be $60, just to determine what part is needed, then another service call would be necessary to install. Please help
I apologize; according to the location guide on this site, I guided my roommate to the location last night, and this morning when I checked, I found another set of info located directly across from that area. Probably TMI…
The Model # is JGBP30BEW1WH, Serial # HS213766P. There is also a date on the plate of 1993 and listed with the another string of ID #'s is: ANSI: Z21.1 CGAIR58, 1995. I am not sure if that means it was made in 1993 or 1995.
I would greatly appreciate being able to use my stove again! This is only the second week without it, but as the saying goes, "You don’t know what you have until you lose it"
A friend of friend came over, I showed him your e-mail and he was able to troubleshoot it. Since the floor of the oven had rust spot, he gently tapped on the ignitor and thinking there might have been a build up on it too, and it ignited!
No part, no out of pocket! And I once again have use of my oven!!!
