We have a side-by-side GE fridge. When pressing the ICE/WATER lever on the freezer door, the ice is not dispensing. It sounds like the solenoid that drives the metal bar down is engaging, but the auger motor doesn’t appear to be moving. I just hear a loud noise like the motor is locked or frozen.
Question: is it the motor or a circuit board? What power levels do I need to verify the motor is good.
Defrosting fridge now, to see if that helps at all.
