GE Profile Water Dispenser Slow

Hi new here. But have order parts from these guys before.

I’m having issues with my water dispenser. It’s slow.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  1. Checked the water supply. - Flows as it should
  2. Changed Filter
  3. Used bypass instead of filter
  4. Checked for Kinks in back of Fridge
  5. Thawed Water Tank
  6. Replaced Water Valve
  7. I also disconnected the tubing from the door and tried to use the dispenser from just coming out of the top of the fridge. Same still slow.

Not sure what else can be blocking the flow. When i first push it the lever for 1 second its full water flow but after that it is slows.

Any ideas? circuit board maybe? Valve not getting enough power? Or could there be sediment some where?

Can anyone chime in?

From the post i’ve been reading here. It seems like i need a new mother board?
I’m guessing here!

Can anyone help?

Gentlemen,

The oven door opens about halfway and then stops. There is firm resistance to opening further. I don’t see any obstructions. What to do? If it’s hinges, how do I check?

Thanks for your expertise.

I found a video on YouTube that shows how to replace the hinge in my oven. This video is applicable to similar GE ovens that use hinge WB14X103 (left hinge) and WB14X104 (right hinge). Video is here:

It’s an easy fix:

Tilt the door to the broiler position and lift it off the hinges.
Remove the storage drawer at the bottom of the oven.
The hinge springs are accessible on left and right. Unhook the spring from the hinge, taking note of which hole the spring is hooked in.
Unscrew three screws from the front of the hinge, visible on the front side of the oven.
Lift out the hinge.
Reverse to install the new hinge.
Easy-peasy.

Let’s keep these old appliances running!
