GE temp problem

Model: GTWN4950L0WS
Serial: HV147394G

Having temperature issue. Hot water will not maintain temp, switches to cold and stays cold. If temp knob is toggled from warm/cold to either hot/cold or cold/cold and back through out the fill cycle I can get a full tub of hot ( not warm) water, other wise tub will fill with cold only.
I have replaced the temp selonoid, part #WH13X10037; valve triple water, this did not correct the problem.

I am getting tired of standing over the machine, toggling the knob back and forth to get a full tub of hot water. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you filling with lid closed? If you select hot with lid open, you will get warm water only. Water temps are dumbed down in these washers so warm may feel cold to you and hot may feel warm. If your sure you are only getting cold water when set to hot, you either have a faulty temp sensor or a bad control board. The temp sensor is on the fill funnel. Unplug from control board and check with meter. Should read 47k ohms at 77°.

Eric,

Thanks for the reply.

My washer will not fill with the lid open, period. I am absolutley positive I am only getting cold water when the tub fills… I have opened the lid mid fill cycle and stuck my hand in… I am pretty sure by the blue tint to my numbing finger tips that my hand is in ice cold water and nothing near warm let alone hot.
On the off chance and as a diagnostic tool we swapped the fill hoses and get the exact opposite… hot with no cold in any temp setting.

I appreciate the links to the repair parts. Wish us luck.
